O que significa Chandler por “tartarugas surgiram”?

Em Friends Season 3 Episode 25 acontece a seguinte cena:

[Scene: The beach house, the next morning. Chandler and Monica are in the kitchen eating breakfast.]

Rachel: (entering) Well! Is everybody else having just the best time?! Well, I assume the happy couple isn’t up yet. Did you guys hear them last night?

Chandler: Oh, yeah, I don’t know what they were doing, but at one point sea turtles actually came up to the house.

Não sei ao certo o que Chandler está se referindo aqui, mas tenho três interpretações:

1. Que as tartarugas estavam com raiva dos ruídos do sexo e vieram exigir silêncio.
2. Que os sons que eles estavam fazendo pareciam uma técnica de convocação para essas tartarugas.
3. Que estou errado e é algo totalmente diferente.
