O que é um filhote de lobisomem?

Primeiro, de acordo com J.K. Rowling em um bate-papo do Barnes and Noble , Riddle estava mentindo :

Então, à luz de tudo isso, filhotes de lobisomens são uma coisa e Hagrid não tentou esconder nada debaixo da cama.
