Pode não ter sido claro no filme, mas o processo que Jake seguiu foi o seguinte:
- Encontre um loop que se conecte ao passado.
- Insira o loop.
- Deixe o loop .
- Encontre outro ciclo em outra área geográfica que esteja conectado a uma data posterior.
- Repetir.
O terceiro passo é possível porque os loops não são limitados apenas temporalmente, mas geograficamente limitados. Como mencionado no livro 2 :
She shifted uncomfortably. “There’s something you should know,” she said, “and I’m afraid it’ll make you not want to come with us.”
“It won’t,” I assured her.
“When we leave here, this loop will close behind us. It’s possible you may never be able to return to the time you came from. At least, not easily.”

O que se repete é o dia inteiro em um local específico , não em todo o mundo. Assim, por que, é claro, os peculiares ligados a laços permanecem em um lugar, em vez de ver o mundo. É por isso que os loops têm um local listado. Além disso, se todos os peculiares deixarem os limites geográficos de seu loop, o loop entrará em colapso.
