Quando é o aniversário de Harry Potter?

O aniversário de Harry é 31 de julho de 1980.

Recebemos o ano de um longa-metragem no antigo site da JK Rowling, Wizard of the Month . Embora o site esteja desativado, o HP Lexicon obteve imagens de cada entrada. Harry nos diz que nasceu em 1980:

Os livros estabelecem que o aniversário de Harry caia no final de julho. Ele realmente compartilha um aniversário com JK Rowling. Em Harry Potter e a Pedra Filosofal , no final da primeira semana em Hogwarts, quando Harry conhece Hagrid, ele tenta falar com ele sobre a invasão de Gringotes, dizendo que aconteceu no mesmo dia como seu aniversário, ou seja, 31 de julho. Eu também encontrei a confirmação da própria JKR, em um tweet no começo deste ano:

Isso nem sempre coincide com as datas do livro - o aniversário de Harry costuma cair no dia errado -, mas JK Rowling reconheceu em várias ocasiões que suas contas e datas são bem desonestas.

O ano é um pouco mais difícil:

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (pg 32) it says that "tomorrow, Tuesday, was Harry's eleventh birthday." July 31 doesn't fall on a Tuesday very often. Most readers of that first book assumed that, because it was published in 1997, Harry attended Hogwarts during the 1990s. In 1990, July 31 fell on a Tuesday. This would mean that Harry was born in 1979.

Mas espere!

In Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, in which Harry helped celebrate Nearly Headless Nick's deathday anniversary on October 31, 1992. Harry was 12 at that time. So this would mean that Harry was born in 1980.
