Os juncos (família Juncaceae) são uma planta com flores de cheiro doce que tem sido usada para vários fins domésticos, incluindo material de revestimento. Quando fresco, eles adicionaram isolamento e um aroma agradável para cobrir o chão de barro - freqüentemente - lamacento. Quando velho, algumas casas / culturas simplesmente se espalhavam mais por cima para cobri-los e, raramente, ou nunca, limpá-los. Outras famílias podem limpá-los semanalmente ou mensalmente.
