Thorin queria recuperar tudo o que Smaug havia tirado de sua família. O Arkenstone era de fato o objeto mais precioso no tesouro de tesouros que Smaug roubou deles. É verdade que Thorin valorizava tanto que ele não podia (até o fim) perdoar Bilbo por levá-lo ao comércio pela paz, mas eu não acho que isso significa que ele não está interessado no ouro ou no resto do tesouro. .

But that has been averted - because I met Thorin Oakenshield one evening on the edge of spring in Bree. A chance-meeting, as we say in Middle-earth.
