Sabemos que a partir de Pottermore havia 28 famílias de puro sangue nos anos 1930. Um 'Diretório de Sangue Puro' foi publicado subseqüentemente:

Tom Riddle, Jr. era meio mestiço, mas ele se encaixa na família Gaunt através de sua mãe (ênfase minha):
