Por que Frodo vê o olho de Sauron no espelho de Galadriel?

O Senhor dos Anéis , capítulo 7- O Espelho de Galadriel:

"But suddenly the mirror went altogether dark, as dark as if a hole had opened in the world of sight, and Frodo looked into emptiness. In the black abyss there appeared a single eye that slowly grew, until it filled nearly the whole mirror. So terrible was it that Frodo stood rooted, unable to cry out or to withdraw his gaze. The eye was rimmed with fire, but itself glazed, yellow as a cat's, watchful and intent, and the black slit of its pupil opened on a pit, a window into nothing"

Sabemos que o próprio Sauron não é fisicamente um olho e é insinuado que o olho de Sauron é mais uma metáfora, mas se o olho é mais uma metáfora, por que Frodo vê o olho em si ao invés de senti-lo metaforicamente falando? ? É porque, como portador do Uno, ele pode perceber os pensamentos e a vontade dos outros portadores dos anéis de poder?

Mais adiante no capítulo Galadriel diz:

"You have perceived my thought more clearly than many that are accounted wise. You saw the eye of him that holds the seven and the nine. And did you not see and recognize the ring upon my finger?"

Aqui ela insinua como o portador do que ele pode perceber e ver os titulares de 3,7 e 9 que nós meio que já sabíamos, mas eu ainda não entendi porque Frodo vê o olho de Sauron, algo que é metaforicamente usado.

A própria Galadriel talvez comandasse o espelho para mostrar o olho a Frodo? Ou Frodo apenas percebeu o portador dos sete e dos nove?

Depois de Bilbo descartá-lo ao sair de BagEnd, Gandalf olhou atentamente para Ring e viu o olho, mas não podia vê-lo.
Claramente Galadriel tinha o poder de ver o inimigo, mas negá-lo. Quando Aragorn usou a Pedra da Torre de Saruman, ele foi capaz de dominá-la e usá-la enquanto ele cortava o que Saruman presumivelmente, uma vez, conseguiu englamou. Mere Denthor, com a mão mais firme, caiu direto e nem sabia que estava sendo usado.

Galadriel é certamente capaz de comandar o Espelho; ela diz isso sozinha:

'What shall we look for, and what shall we see?' asked Frodo, filled with awe.

'Many things I can command the Mirror to reveal,' she answered, 'and to some I can show what they desire to see. But the Mirror will also show things unbidden, and those are often stranger and more profitable than things which we wish to behold.
