Thrawn will span several years of the Star Wars timeline, beginning with his first encounter with the Empire and ending just before the opening of Rebels Season 3.

Infelizmente, não tenho certeza se há informações suficientes no romance para construir um cronograma preciso dos eventos. Há algumas informações, e eu fiz algumas tentativas, mas o fato de o romance retratar duas narrativas entrelaçadas me afastou mais do que ligeiramente. Tudo o que estou preparado para afirmar com confiança agora é que Thrawn fez contato com o Império até 6 ou 7 ABY.
