Sith Mind Control existe em canon?

Sim, o Imperador demonstra a capacidade de controlar a mente de uma garota Twi'lek no romance canônico Senhores do Sith :

Unable to resist, the girl walked out of the tree line until she stood, small and vulnerable, before him.

No cômico canônico Guerra nas Estrelas: Darth Vader # 1 , Vader está em Tatooine conversando com alguém altamente resistente a truques mentais Jedi. Quando essa pessoa lhe pergunta se ele está tentando usar truques mentais sobre Jedi, Vader responde:

Mind tricks are not of the dark side

We prefer force.

e a força o estrangula.

De como soa lá, Sith pode fazer truques mentais, mas prefere o método brutal de sufocar / intimidar alguém para fazer o que quiser (como truques mentais também " bom ").

Eu não acho que os Sith possam usar um truque mental dessa maneira. Um truque mental é, até onde eu sei, uma influência única (Obi-Wan on Tatooine etc.). Mas os Sith eram adeptos da Meditação de Batalha. Por exemplo, nos romances de Thrawn, é explicado que os Imperiais perderam a Batalha de Endor porque após a morte do Imperador sua Meditação de Batalha terminou. Então poderíamos chamar esse poder de uma espécie de truque mental em massa. Afinal, ele influencia os fracos de espírito para fazer o que ele quer.
