Li um livro há mais de uma década e quero lê-lo novamente, mas não me lembro do título ou do autor.

O que eu lembro sobre isso:

Uma mulher cai em um planeta estrangeiro e encontra seu caminho para um lugar onde treinam magos. Ela chama mágica de 'ler'. Somente homens são magos neste mundo. Eles a treinam de qualquer maneira e depois viajam com sua professora e outro aluno para fazer algum tipo de teste para determinar seu nível de poder. Esses níveis de energia são indicados por anéis metálicos irremovíveis em volta do pescoço dos magos. Quanto mais anéis, maior o poder.
