Procurando o autor de um conto chamado Corujas que li em uma revista de ficção científica nos 80s. Tratava-se de viajantes da 2 dirigindo por uma floresta à noite e vendo um sinal de alerta que dizia corujas.

A história faz com que esses viajantes da 2 passem por uma área arborizada e passem por um sinal de alerta que diz corujas. Porque parecia estranho haver um sinal de alerta dizendo que as corujas param para examinar o sinal. Agora isso está acontecendo à noite. Os dois homens saem do carro e enquanto o homem que notou a placa examina e descobre a placa realmente diz corujas, o descrente é arrastado para o ar. Quando ele levanta a luz do flash para ver o que ele tem, ele vê uma garra e asa logo antes de soltar a lanterna.

"Where are you?" he shouted. "Damn it — " He thought for a second he was having a heart attack. That's how they said it felt: knife-sharp pain gripping the shoulders, a sensation of floating. Then he realized he was floating. Thin tree branches flailed him, fell away. Hot blood oozed over the skin inside his coat and shirt, flowed in rivulets down his back and chest. He wheezed for breath. Wildly, he tried to turn the light upward, to see what had him, to glimpse the talons that had seized him, but the back of his head was wedged against a feathered keel as tough and flexible as spring steel. He felt muscles working above him, felt felt rhythmic gusts of wind, like air displaced by great, silent wings. The flashlight dropped from his numbing right hand.
