No Aquaman Mera disse a Aquaman que ele ajudou a salvar o mundo de Steppenwolf. Isso significa que os principais eventos de Aquaman aconteceram após os eventos de Liga da Justiça.

In Aquaman, também aprendemos que Aquaman nunca esteve em Atlantis e pode até ser perigoso para ele ir para lá porque era mestiço (Vulko e Mera também estavam tentando convencê-lo a ir para lá).

Mas em Liga da Justiça, vimos que Aquaman conhecia a localização de Atlantis e foi assim que ele tentou proteger a Mother Box debaixo d'água. Até Mera estava lá na época e ela até conversou com Aquaman (e, no entanto, ele nem sabia em quem ela estava. Aquaman?).

Essas são inconsistências? Ou eu estou esquecendo de alguma coisa?

Para encurtar a história, o que vimos em Liga da Justiça Atlantis não era, e se a memória serve, Mera também não se apresentou? Por isso, Arthur a encontraria de uma maneira mais "formal" em Aquaman.

A versão mais longa é explicada por uma entrevista que o diretor James Wan deu à Huffington Post:

In “Justice League,” we thought Arthur Curry/Aquaman traveled to Atlantis when he meets Mera. But in “Aquaman,” he apparently goes to Atlantis for the first time. So what’s happening there? Where was he in “Justice League”?

It wasn’t Atlantis. I spoke with Zack [Snyder, director of “Justice League,”] early on, and Zack mentioned that the location that Aquaman swims to in “Justice League” is an outpost. So when he told me that was his idea, I was like, “Oh great, then I can actually have Arthur go to Atlantis for the first time.” That’s very important for me, because he can go into it and have a wide-eyed approach to Atlantis and be in awe of it. I think that’s very important from a storytelling standpoint because the audience gets to experience Atlantis for the first time along with the character.
