Mas esse boato era apenas fan fiction, nada mais que isso e até David Ayer desmascara em uma entrevista:

Recently, Ayer was asked in a red carpet interview by WSVN-TV reporter Chris Van Vliet to name the most ridiculous rumour he had heard about the film. “That the Joker is Jason Todd,” he said. “It ain’t the case. He’s not.” www.independent.co.uk/

Até mesmo Zack Snyder desmascarou dizendo que há um robin falecido no DCEU:

"In my mind, it was that Robin had died 10 years earlier, during some run in with a young Joker," he stated. "To me, it was a fun backstory… to play with. The whole idea was that there had been loss and sacrifice. [Batman] doesn’t really have a life outside of the cave. I thought by including Robin – a dead Robin – it would help us understand he’s been on quite a little journey."

Não, Joker não era um ex-Robin. Em vez disso, Joker foi responsável por assassinar o ex-Robin, o qual vimos dicas em Dawn of Justice e depois foi confirmado em Suicide Squad . (Harley Quinn foi preso como cúmplice de Joker para esse assassinato.)

A caracterização de Joker nesse filme é diferente da maioria dos outros que vimos na tela, mas o personagem de Joker tem variado bastante nos quadrinhos ao longo das décadas. Esta versão do Joker é muito mais discreta do que outras (quase o oposto do Batman dos anos 60), e está jogando mais como chefe da máfia do que um terrorista maluco, mas ele ainda está definitivamente interpretando o Coringa.
