Ouvi dizer que Shugenja podia memorizar feitiços, ou pelo menos costumava fazê-lo em edições anteriores à edição 4th. Ainda não encontrei as regras relevantes na edição 4th, então me pergunto:
Shugenja ainda pode aprender a lançar feitiços sem pergaminhos e, se sim, onde estão as regras?
Isso existia pelo menos desde a edição 2nd, Shugenja poderia gastar pontos de experiência para memorizar magias, e a fórmula está na página 203 do Guia dos Jogadores da edição 2nd:
Memorizing a spell
... There are two drawbacks to not memorizing a spell. The first is that fishing around for the appropriate spell usually requires an action, which can be deadly in certain situations. The second difficulty comes about when you are not carrying the scroll, and therefore you may not cast the spell.
You can memorize any spell that you are capable of casting by spending 2 Experience Points per spell to be memorized and marking it on your character sheet as an Innate Ability.
Na edição 4th, isso foi alterado para o seguinte, explicado na barra lateral da página 164, intitulada Como são lançados os feitiços ?:
A skilled shugenja, however, can memorize the incantations by spending a number of Experience Points equal to the Mastery Level of the spell. This allows the spell to be cast without a scroll.
