O trabalho de Arthur é manter os itens enfeitiçados das mãos dos trouxas e ele participa dos ataques. O que exatamente é um ataque? Os membros do ministério vêm a casas de bruxos aleatórios para verificar se eles têm algum item enfeitiçado e prendê-los, mesmo que esse item enfeitiçado seja sua propriedade?
Como vemos no CS (e em outros livros), o motivo do ataque é muito parecido com aquele em ataques da Law Enforcement no mundo dos trouxas:
Tip-offs (por exemplo, Harry contando a Arthur sobre Malfoys)
Disjuntores conhecidos que fizeram esse tipo de coisa antes, como Dung:

Como DVK apontou em sua resposta para outra pergunta, outro de um dos deveres de trabalho de Arthur Weasley é escrever ou supervisionar leis relativas, no mínimo, à encantamento de artefatos trouxas.
O relevante fornecer trecho:
“Yes, Arthur, cars,” said Mrs. Weasley, her eyes flashing. “Imagine a wizard buying a rusty old car and telling his wife all he wanted to do with it was take it apart to see how it worked, while really he was enchanting it to make it fly.” Mr. Weasley blinked. “Well, dear, I think you’ll find that he would be quite within the law to do that, even if — er — he maybe would have done better to, um, tell his wife the truth… There’s a loophole in the law, you’ll find… As long as he wasn’t intending to fly the car, the fact that the car could fly wouldn’t —”
“Arthur Weasley, you made sure there was a loophole when you wrote that law!” shouted Mrs. Weasley. “Just so you could carry on tinkering with all that Muggle rubbish in your shed! And for your information, Harry arrived this morning in the car you weren’t intending to fly!”
Isso seria um acréscimo ao esboço dos deveres de ataque / inspeção na resposta do DVK para esta pergunta.
A natureza dos ataques, então, seria impor leis como as que Arthur escreve.
