Por que o 343 Guilty Spark ajudou Miranda a parar o Halo Delta?

A principal tarefa dos monitores Forerunner era garantir a defesa contra o dilúvio. Depois de um nível de infecção significativo, eles estavam até mesmo dispostos a quebrar os protocolos (por exemplo, 343 Guilty Spark tentou ativar a instalação do Halo 04, mesmo sem indexação e reclaimer.)

Halo 2 , o nível de infecção Flood tornou-se muito alto (até mesmo um poderoso gravemind foi formado), então a única maneira de parar o Flood foi ativar o Halo array e acabar com toda a vida senciente da galáxia, morrendo de fome o dilúvio até a morte. Eu não acredito que Guilty Spark esteja necessariamente indo contra sua tarefa principal. Por melhor que eu saiba, as IAs foram também programadas para obedecer aos Reclaimers até certo ponto, e quase sempre responderam as perguntas que lhes foram feitas. Como tal, Guilty Spark mostra-lhes como desligar o Halo, mas avisa-os repetidamente, e não toma nenhuma ação específica para fazê-lo.

Da transcrição do nível Halo 2 A Grande Jornada , encontrado em Halo Nations :

Tartarus: "Come, human, it is easy." (He tries to get Miranda to insert the Index) "Take the Icon in your hands... (growls impatiently) And do as you are told!" (He slams the Index on the console, which flashes red lights)

343 Guilty Spark: "Please, use caution! This Reclaimer is delicate."

Aqui, Spark parece estar preocupado apenas com o fato de que os Keyes serão danificados antes de realizar a ativação do anel.

Thel 'Vadam: (to Guilty Spark) "The Sacred Rings, what are they?"

343 Guilty Spark: "Power generation phase complete. The installation is ready to fire. Starting final countdown."

Sergeant Johnson: "Come on, Arbiter! Kick that guy's ass!"

343 Guilty Spark: "Firing sequence initiated. And may I say, Reclaimers, it has been a pleasure to serve you both. Goodbye."
