Existe algum plano para uma nova série ou filmes da série Babylon 5?

Parece que não há planos para continuar:

On July 13, 2008, Straczynski revealed that he had no plans to continue The Lost Tales. He said that although the studio was interested in another disc, they wanted to budget the next installment similarly to the first. Citing his disappointment with the first release due to the low budget, Straczynski said he did not want to dilute Babylon 5's legacy with further sub-par stories. He stated that he would only return to the Babylon 5 universe if Warner Bros. wanted to do a large-budgeted cinema release.

Como muitos outros fãs, eu adoraria ver mais contos do Babylon 5 - mas, igualmente, eu odiaria ver o cânon perturbado por adições de baixa qualidade (baixo orçamento).

JMS na San Diego Comic Con 2010 :

“I said to Warner Bros. a while back, 'When you’re ready to do something real with 'Babylon 5,' either a big-budget film or a TV show, if you want to do one of those two things, call me, otherwise don’t bother me.' About a month ago the phone rang. I don’t know where this is gonna go yet, but when they call you, there’s something going on. I can’t tell you what it is yet and it may not go anywhere, but there is movement in the tall grass.

De acordo com a palestra da JMS na ComicCon 2011, a Warner Brothers o abordou sobre fazer um novo Babylon 5, e eles fizeram um acordo - mas então o sistema de distribuição que Warner estava planejando derrubar ( IGN tem um write-up ). Aparentemente, ainda há algum tipo de conversa acontecendo, e a JMS está esperançosa de que algum tipo de série possa acontecer. Tanto quanto eu sei, não há planos. Todos os rumores que ouvi não foram confirmados. J. Michael Straczynski alguns anos atrás entrou na lista A de Hollywood, então ele conseguiu produzir Babylon 5: The Lost Tales, mas eu acho que foi tão mal sucedido que não há outros planos para nada no universo de Babylon 5.
