Acredito que a história à qual você está se referindo é "Eye for Eye" , de Orson Scott Card. Da Wikipedia:

Mick Winger has an unusual gift and with it has accidentally killed several people. When Mick gets angry at people, his power manifests itself by launching an attack upon them by giving them cancer, leukemia or related terminal illnesses. If made angry enough, his anger can outright kill the victim.

Houve uma cena no início da história onde Mick, apesar de seus melhores esforços, acaba destruindo um motorista de ônibus com seu poder. Trecho:

A história diz respeito a um menino de três anos de idade, não um adolescente e eu não me lembro de um ônibus. No entanto, os outros temas são semelhantes. Na história, Anthony é três, não seis. Talvez haja uma confusão com o episódio da Twilight Zone em que (eu acredito) Anthony tem seis anos. Aqui está uma citação da história (forma Estrela Quatorze editada por Frederick Pohl, embora apareça em muitas outras antologias):

It did no good to wonder where they were ... no good at all. Peaksville was just someplace. Someplace away from the world.
