Os Comensais da Morte na Copa de Quadribol pareciam realmente estar apenas assustando as pessoas, com os piores se levantando para serem tendas queimando e levitando Trouxas. Harry chegou a se perguntar qual era o ponto.

O caos na Copa Mundial de Quadribol é mencionado novamente, e nenhuma das vezes nada implica que os Comensais da Morte tenham matado alguém. Sirius diz que eles apareceram lá, mas não menciona nenhuma morte ou ferimentos graves.

Harry também diz que foi no Profeta Diário, e mencionou Bertha Jorkins que ele não sabia estar morto na época, quando ele estava dizendo "Moody" de suas suspeitas depois de ver Barty Crouch no Mapa dos Marotos. Se ele visse no Profeta Diário ou soubesse de alguma morte, ele quase certamente teria mencionado isso.

Rita Skeeter estava cobrindo o incidente e, como sabemos, ela adora causar problemas e embaraçar o Ministério.

Skeeter não relatou nenhuma fatalidade (pelo menos nos trechos do relatório que lemos). Na verdade, a falta de corpos parece perturbá-la, então ela inventa algumas fatalidades falsas para apimentar sua história.

Acho que podemos confiar no fato de que, se houvesse fatalidades, Skeeter as teria feito manchetes. Como as únicas fatalidades mencionadas são fictícias (como parte da campanha de Skeeter para desacreditar o Ministério), acho que podemos supor que ninguém realmente morreu.

É verdade que houve muitos danos ao campo. No entanto, isso foi principalmente dano a tendas , não a pessoas. Os Comensais da Morte não estavam dispostos a matar pessoas, apenas para atormentar os trouxas e mostrar ao mundo bruxo que eles ainda estavam por perto.

Mesmo que o Sr. Weasley diga que os Comensais da Morte gostam de matar trouxas por diversão (assim como levitando-os), não é isso que eles estavam fazendo aqui. Eles conseguiram encontrar os únicos trouxas no campo - e não os mataram, eles brincaram com eles.

Então nenhum trouxa foi morto e os Comensais da Morte não tinham interesse em matar mais ninguém.

As únicas vítimas permanentes do ataque foram as tendas ao redor.

Não podemos definitivamente dizer que ninguém foi inadvertidamente morto pelos Comensais da Morte. Mas a reportagem de Skeeter, as intenções dos Comensais da Morte e a rápida evacuação sugerem, como diz o Sr. Weasley, que ninguém ficou ferido.
