A maioria dos trabalhos sobre a Segunda Profecia de Mandos (que é a fonte primária para os eventos de Dagor Dagorath) data do período anterior em que o SdA foi escrito, então naturalmente não contém referências para os caracteres do retorno do SdA. Perguntar sobre eles levaria a essa questão ser fechada como "baseada principalmente na opinião".

Turim Turambar no próprio texto da profecia (HoME 5):

Embora uma tradição alternativa (no Athrabeth Finrod ah Andreth) tenha um papel ligeiramente diferente para Turin:
Turin in the Last Battle should return from the Dead, and before he left the Circles of the World for ever should challenge the Great Dragon of Morgoth, Ancalagon the Black, and deal him the death-stroke.
E é isso. Há mais menção de eventos após a batalha, então temos anões:
their part shall be to serve Aule and to aid him in the re-making of Arda after the Last Battle.
E os homens (Silmarillion):
Yet of old the Valar declared to the Elves in Valinor that Men shall join in the Second Music of the Ainur.
Mas nada sobre os elfos ...
