Por que Shae agiu como ela fez no julgamento?

OBSERVAÇÃO: Essa resposta será estritamente sobre o programa de TV, não sobre os livros. Nos livros as coisas são completamente diferentes.

Ela o amava?

No Show, Shae realmente amava Tyrion. Ela provou isso quando Tyrion sugeriu que ela deveria fugir antes de Stannis tomar o lugar de King's Landing. Shae, por outro lado, rejeitou sua proposta, arriscando sua vida, decidindo ficar com ele até o amargo fim. Nenhuma quantia de dinheiro pode fazer uma pessoa fazer isso.

Shae: Are you afraid, my lion?

Tyrion: If the city falls, Stannis will burn every Lannister he can find. Of course I'm afraid.

Shae: I won't let them hurt you.

Tyrion: I'm a Lannister. I don't have a choice in all this. But it's not your war.

Shae: It is now.

Tyrion: You can't fuck your way out of everything.

Em seguida, Tyrion teve lesões faciais hediondas, foi retirado de seu posto como Mão do Rei, perdeu suas capas de ouro e as tribos. Em sua posição mais vulnerável, Shae veio vê-lo. Ela deixou claro para ele que ela não se importava com o dinheiro.

Ela provou isso ainda mais quando ela sugeriu que Tyrion fugisse para o exílio com ela e ela estava bem com ele sendo um exilado sem dinheiro e ainda queria estar com ele.

Shae: Let's leave.

Tyrion: Leave?

Shae: Leave King's Landing. They tried to kill you. They will try again. Going into wars, fighting soldiers, you're terrible at this. Let's take a boat to Pentos and never come back. You don't belong here.

Tyrion: What would we do in Pentos?

Shae: Eat, drink, fuck, live.

Tyrion: I want to go with you.

Shae: So do it. Your father, your sister, all these bad people, they can't stop you. Forget about them. Come with me.

Tyrion: I can't. I do belong here. These bad people are what I'm good at. Outtalking them, outthinking them. It's what I am. And I like it. I like it more than anything I've ever done. Are you going to leave?

Então por que traí-lo?

Começaram a se afastar na terceira temporada. Shae já suspeitava que Tyrion achava Sansa atraente. Tyrion achou a noção absurda. E aparentemente Shae parecia contente com suas negações.

Mas a tendência cimentou quando Sansa e Tyrion estavam prestes a se casar à força. Tyrion queria falar com Sansa e Shae separadamente, mas Shae se recusou a sair e Sansa se recusou a dispensá-la. Tyrion foi forçado a informar Sansa do plano de seu pai na frente de Shae. Ele passou um código de desculpas para Shae, mas ela não entendeu ou ficou furiosa demais para considerá-lo. Para ela, foi Tyrion quem a traiu por uma menina de alto nascimento.

O golpe significativo veio antes do casamento de Tyrion. Shae ainda nutria esperanças de que Tyrion pudesse escolher o exílio para ela, mas ele se recusou e Shae percebeu que ela sempre foi e sempre será apenas mais uma prostituta de Tyrion.

Mais tarde Varys tentou pagá-la por ir embora, ela rejeitou a bolsa de diamantes e disse que se Tyrion quiser que ela vá embora, ele pode muito bem perguntar a ela.

Shae ainda nutria esperanças e tentava seduzir Tyrion em várias ocasiões, Tyrion sempre fazia alguma desculpa, o que só aprofundava a fenda.

Naquela época, a presença de Shae havia sido notada por Cersei. Crescendo ansioso pela segurança de Shae, dada a ameaça de Tywin de que ele penduraria a próxima prostituta que encontrasse na cama de Tyrion, Tyrion decidiu que era hora de terminar de vez e mandar Shae para a segurança, qualquer que fosse o custo. Tyrion: I'm not afraid.

Shae: You are. You are afraid of your father and your sister. You're going to run from them all your life?

Tyrion: I need you to leave.

Shae: I'm not afraid of them. I'm not going to run.

Tyrion: Shae.

Shae: We will fight them together. It's like you said, I am yours and you are mine.

Tyrion: You're a whore! Sansa is fit to bear my children and you are not. I can't be in love with a whore. I can't have children with a whore. How many men have you been with?

Shae: How many whores have you been with?

Tyrion: I have enjoyed my time with all of them and I have enjoyed my time with you most of all. But now that time is over. You'll have a comfortable life in Pentos. Bronn will escort you to your ship.

Então foi isso, Tyrion confirmou que para ele ela era apenas uma prostituta e tudo o que ele disse antes era uma mentira e agora ele iria aproveitar sua vida com sua nova esposa e seus filhos filhos, que Shae era inadequado para. Shae ia agora ser o que Tyrion achava que ela era, uma prostituta. Então ela esgotou.

1. Shae amava Tyrion de todo o coração.

4. É uma história triste e distorcida. Ambos se amavam, mas os dois achavam que o outro os havia traído. Ambos tentaram matar o outro (Shae no julgamento, Tyrion nos aposentos de seu pai), Tyrion conseguiu.

Tywin ou Cersei tem que Shae. Ela não tem dinheiro ou poder por direito próprio, e está prestes a perder seu único protetor. Enfrentando ameaças e sendo uma prostituta sem amigos no desembarque de King, ela escolhe o suborno e um bilhete em um navio para fora de lá.

    

Tudo o que Tywin tinha a fazer era contar-lhe seu plano de culpá-lo e dizer-lhe que, se ajudasse, pouparia a vida de Tyrion mandando-o para o Black. Simples. Ela pensou que estava salvando a vida dele.
