As varinhas em Harry Potter são sencientes?

Bem, voltarei à citação que mencionei em resposta ao seu comentário no meu post sobre Harry devolvendo a varinha de Draco:

Ollivander estava claro que nada do que ele sabia iria consertar uma varinha tão danificada quanto a varinha de azevinho e fênix de Harry. Ainda, Harry fixou sua varinha usando sua magia canalizada através da Varinha Ancestral, que ele ganhou. Nevertheless, a hypothetical wand that had passed through the hands of many Dark wizards would be likely to have, at the very least, a marked affinity for the most dangerous kinds of magic.

Most witches and wizards prefer a wand that has 'chosen' them to any kind of second-hand wand, precisely because the latter is likely to have learned habits from its previous owner that might not be compatible with the new user's style of magic.

Então, sim, para responder a pergunta, acho que as varinhas são pelo menos parcialmente conscientes. E eu discuto que a habilidade de um mago de encarar os fatores da morte em suas capacidades mágicas, quando se trata de dominar a Varinha dos Anciões. Eu falo apenas com o Elder Wand como meu exemplo.

ETA: Eu queria salientar que a pergunta original perguntava se " wandlore de alguma forma implica pelo menos sentience parcial de varinhas ." Os exemplos que eu forneci implicam a possibilidade de senciência ou senciência parcial por parte das varinhas, o que eu acredito ser consistente com a solicitação do OP. Apenas queria esclarecer isso.

Não há nada que realmente indique que uma varinha tenha alguma senciência. Em vez disso, uma varinha está sintonizada com um indivíduo. Muito parecido com um instrumento musical, cada pessoa tem uma configuração preferida. Em Harry Potter, as varinhas são mágicas e, portanto, a sintonização ocorre de uma maneira diferente.

Durante o processo de escolha, a varinha é inicialmente configurada. Mas como a varinha é usada, ela se liga ao seu usuário. Quando uma varinha é perdida em combate, ela distorce a magia da varinha e traz a varinha em sintonia com seu novo mestre.

Eu esperaria que o ato de devolver a varinha iniciasse alguma reafirmação ao velho mestre, embora o vínculo e a ligação não sejam tão strongs quanto antes da varinha ser perdida.
