Chirrut Îmwe era um Jedi, sensível à força, sortudo ou algo mais?

Ele não afirmou ser sensível à força, mas com certeza faz coisas que não levam a nenhuma outra conclusão. Quacks, caminhadas e nada como um pato Força sensível.

Ele próprio não nega totalmente, e afirma que a Força o protege, seja lá o que isso signifique:

Chirrut Îmwe é estabelecido como um não-Jedi após sua introdução, mas ele provavelmente é sensível à força.

Ele é um Guardião dos Whills, parte de uma ordem sobre Jedha sobre a qual atualmente não sabemos nada (por causa do retcon da Disney; os Whills, pré-retcon, foram o grupo que ensinou Qui-Gon como se tornar um fantasma da força).

Dito isto, Chirrut mostra sinais de sensibilidade à força várias vezes no filme. Ele evita o fogo dos blaster, abate um caça TIE sem uma linha de visão (porque ele é cego, entendeu?) E lê o que as pessoas vão fazer através do que ele afirma ser a Força reunida em torno deles.

Ou ele é sensível, ou Ki é uma coisa no universo de Star Wars.

Na verdade, o Star Wars Rogue One Ultimate Enciclopédia de adesivos e a Atlas Galáctico de Guerra nas Estrelas descreva Chirrut como "Força sintonizada". A descrição é a mesma para os dois livros:

A blind warrior-monk and a disciplined fighter, Chirrut is attuned to the mystical energy known as the Force.
