[...] On a failed save, the target loses the ability to distinguish friend from foe, regarding all creatures it can see as enemies until the spell ends. Each time the target takes damage, it can repeat the saving throw, ending the effect on itself on a success.

Whenever the affected creature chooses another creature as a target, it must choose the target at random from among the creatures it can see within range of the attack, spell, or other ability it’s using.

Você não precisa de Inimigos Abundantes para se atacar

Os caracteres são sempre permitido se atacar (não importa se eles são afetados por inimigos abundam).

Inimigos abundantes não requerem que a criatura afetada faça ataques ou conjure mágicas em outras criaturas. Por exemplo, ele pode se alvejar com um feitiço de cura.

A seção das regras relacionadas a "outras criaturas" simplesmente diz que, se a criatura afetada faz atingir uma criatura que não seja ela mesma, deve fazê-lo aleatoriamente.

Sim. Por RAW, "outra criatura" implica uma criatura que não seja você. A redação para isso deve ser mais clara na minha opinião, mas, como está escrito, funciona.

A desvantagem é que, se você escolher outra criatura, há uma chance de estar realmente atacando um inimigo real.
