Eu li este livro junto com a série de que, com certeza, subi para o 3 ou mais outros livros. Eu os li por todo o ano 2008 ou 09, não me lembro da maior parte da história porque era jovem, mas adorei.

A capa do livro mostrava uma garotinha, talvez com a idade de 11, talvez até o início da adolescência, segurando / segurando uma pedra verde que acho que poderia lhe dar a capacidade de conversar com animais ou fazer algum tipo de habilidade.

Lembro-me vagamente de partes da história, mas alguém estava atrás da pedra que a enviou em uma aventura para fazer com que a pedra estivesse no lugar certo, fora do alcance das mãos erradas. Eu acho que ela tinha um irmão mais novo com ela ou um amigo da cidade que se juntou a ela em sua busca. Eu acho que o pai ou o tutor dela era um professor ou um cientista que fingiu sua morte antes da missão, porque ele sabia que ela precisava desse conforto dele estar fora de perigo enquanto ela saía. Ele sabia que ela tinha algo especial que afetava a pedra. (Do livro 1)

The book starts by Alexa going on a walk through the streets of Bridewell with her adventurer friend Thomas Warvold. During the stroll, Warvold tells Alexa a fable that he heard on one of his far-off journeys. When the fable is finished, Alexa finds that Warvold is dead.

Later on, Alexa uses the silver key to open a passageway hidden behind her favorite nook.
