Yes, we know, Carrie has bipolar disorder. We're not judging her irritation level for that. What makes Carrie so irritating is her constant poor decision making and constant state of crying. Some of that may be due to the fact she doesn't stay on her meds (irritating), but not all. Does Carrie betray Saul? The effect of that all happening was, Carrie was able to avert a war from happening, but the relationship with Saul was severed. In other words, let me be clear, Carrie really did betray Saul, really did betray her country, really did affect the death of a very important American asset in Moscow.
Is Carrie a double agent?
(Carrie does love her jazz.) She's not done. She's not out of the life. She's traded spots with Saul's Russian mole, sacrificing her life in America to be a double agent in Russia and repaying her debt to Anna in the process.
