Anyone who becomes a blood hunter must complete the Hunter's Bane, a ritual that alters their life's blood and gives them control over hemocraft magic.
How does crimson Rite work?
The Crimson Rite class feature of the blood hunter includes this paragraph (emphasis mine): As a bonus action, you imbue a single weapon with the elemental energy of a known rite until your next short or long rest. While active, attacks from this weapon deal an additional 1d4 rite damage of the chosen elemental type. How does blood curse of the eyeless work? Blood Curse of the Eyeless: When a creature you can see within 30 feet of you makes an attack roll, you can use your reaction to roll one hemocraft die and subtract the number rolled from the creature's attack roll.
What does blood Maledict do?
Each time you use your Blood Maledict feature, you choose which curse to invoke from the curses you know. While invoking a blood curse, but before it affects the target, you can choose to amplify the curse by taking necrotic damage equal to one roll of your hemocraft die. How do you play Bloodhunter? Why did Matt Mercer make Bloodhunter?
Originally, Mercer had to create the class for Vin Diesel. The famous actor was promoting the film The Last Witch Hunter and Geek & Sundry were hosting an one-shot called D&Diesel. The Blood Hunter was created for Diesel's character, but Mercer was only allowed to know what was in the movie's trailer. Is Percy a blood hunter?
