Is Todd a sociopath? In the movie, a number of flashback scenes show Jesse with Todd Alquist, the sociopath who tortured him at the white supremacist compound. After the events in Mexico, Jesse was seemingly on Gus' good side. Walt had been fired, and he now ran the lab. When Brock was in the hosptial, Gus even told Jesse to stay as long as he needed to. After that, Jesse was taken into police custody because of the Ricin hint, and subsequently set free. Does Jesse poison Gus? At first, Jesse assumes Walt poisoned Brock with the ricin he had intended to give to Gus Fring. But Walt convinces Jesse that Gus is the mastermind behind the poison as a means to tear them apart, effectively turning Jesse against Gus. It's an evil trick that works.
