How do you use scorching ray 5e?
You create three rays of fire and hurl them at Targets within range. You can hurl them at one target or several. Make a ranged spell Attack for each ray. On a hit, the target takes 2d6 fire damage.

Each ray hits only one target and deals 2d6 fire damage. Is Scorching Ray simultaneous? In essence, such attacks are sequential; they occur one after the other, not all at the same time, so you can pick the targets of each attack as you make it. What level is revivify?
Assuming no attacks miss, it does more damage than Guiding Bolt. You have the option to attack multiple targets when using Scorching Ray. Eventually, when you have higher level spell slots, it will scale much better than Guiding Bolt.
Can you twin scorching ray?
The spell isn't eligible for Twinned Spell. Do you roll to hit for each scorching ray? You make one damage roll for each ray that hits.
Does scorching ray ignite 5e?
Fire Bolt and Create Bonfire specify that they can catch items on fire. Scorching Ray doesn't and in 5e if something isn't in the rules then it doesn't happen. So the wizard isn't risking starting a forest fire because of how the spell works. Can scorching ray crit? It can't hit, so it can't crit. You can't leech, you can't stun, you can't move, you can't AoE.
Can scorching ray ignite?
Yes. From what I can tell burns can stack, but ignites don't stack. The burn from herald of ash, ignite, searing totem, burning ground (From flame trap), and scorching ray do stack.
