Is proficiency bonus the same for all classes?
Your proficiency bonus is always based on your total character level, as shown in the Character Advancement table in chapter 1, not your level in a particular class. It also does not list Proficiency Bonus under special rules for Class Features gained, as Marq points out.

Whenever a PC makes what 5e calls an Ability Check, such as Dexterity(Stealth), they roll a d20, add their Ability Score Modifier, and their Proficiency Bonus if they are proficient with that skill. A PC Proficient in Stealth would add their Dexterity Modifier as well as their Proficiency Bonus.
