What level is counterspell?

In dnd 5e Counterspell is mostly locked into the arcane casters and can be found on the Sorcerer, Warlock, and Wizard spell list. WotC has confirmed that changelings are considered to have the Shapechanger subtype. So they are indeed immune to polymorph and can be affected by moonbeam.

Detect Magic will not identify a polymorphed Changeling.

Only spells (or abilities that replicate specific spell effects or invoke a "spell attack"), magical items, and effects specifically clarified as being magical by descriptive text count as capital-M Magic, which would be detected by Detect Magic.
