What happened to Gilly in Game of Thrones?
Gilly and little Sam both survived the wights' terrifying assault on the Winterfell crypts. Hopefully Sam can take some much-needed comfort in the fact that his family lived through the night even if some of his friends didn't.

What does Sam give Gilly?
He gave Gilly a thimble that once belonged to his mother. It's the only thing of his mother's that he currently possesses. When Gilly refuses to take it since it's such a precious item, Sam insists that she's only keeping it safe until he returns from the ranging.
