Will there be a second District 9?

Is the movie District 9 a true story?
Many viewers will be surprised to know that the 2009 sci-fi hit District 9 is actually based on real events. The movie is a mock documentary following the relocation process of a group of aliens who have been stranded in Johannesburg, South Africa, and are living in a refugee camp. Does District 9 have a happy ending?
Survival. Usually when a film concludes, audiences are treated to multiple powerful, soft-light shots of the hero kissing his love interest or hugging his relatives. If we're lucky, they'll even fist-pump the air in freeze frame. But District 9 has no such clear-cut heroic ending. How did they make the aliens in District 9? When the aliens were redesigned to look like crustaceans – or “prawns,” as they're called in the movie – they were created using CGI effects.
